As the Elvis' song says, he hates that someone steps on his shoes, that's why he uses the expression "lay off of my shoes" to show his anger. In fact, all of us need our space and we don't like people to disturb us in our "precious moments".
ReplyDelete"Lay off of my bedroom", that's what I'd say if someone disturbs me while I'm listening to music, because that's the moment when I can relax and forget all my worries for a while. So I can't stand that anyone mess it up.
Andrea Corvo Garcia 2n bat. hum.
Personally, I don't want people to touch my hair.
ReplyDeleteTime ago, when I had a really long hair that was always held on a pony tail because it was more confortable to me, everyone was continously touching it and trying to take off my rubber-band. It was kind of annoying, so now, if someone touches it too much I get a bit irritated, unless, of course, it's my hairdresser who does it.
I think this elvis presley song, has another meaning. I'm pretty sure he's just beeing metaphoric, and he just want to say that he doesn't cares about all the coments that the people could say. with this sentence "don't you step on my blue suede shoes. You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes." he wants to say that nobody can change the way he is and that he will continue being how he is, and if they accept elvis like that, fine, and if they don't he doesn't want them around him.
ReplyDeleteI like song the elvis presley because, it teaches the people that exist ,I refer that the people never can speak a singer that it should not follow it in songs, and but they do not listen to it.
ReplyDeleteJuan Cabañero 1-Bat
I think that when Elvis Presley says "lay off of my shoes", he speaks in double meaning, because each person is different from other. On the other hand everyone needs their space and time to relax. I think that he's right, because if I don't have free time I will go crazy. Otherwise nobody changes their own character so if someone doesn't accept you as you are the best advice is to stay away. In life everything it´s up to you.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I don't like when people mess up with my personal life, because I'm sure that everyone has his own issues and I think that I should solve my own problems and live my life as I like. So if someone tries to get involved in my life, I would say "lay off of my personal life".
ReplyDeleteI think that Elvis Presley's intention with this song is to tell us that he is just how he is when he says "don't step on my blue suede shoes", so he wants people to accept him like that, to leave the bad comments apart and let him be.

In this song, Elvis is really upset due to someone steps on his shoes and he hates it because he loves his shoes. In order that someone don't steps his shoes, he says "step in my face" because he prefers it so that someone don't steps on his shoes.
ReplyDeleteI'm very agree with him, I don't like when someone disturbs me, for example, when I'm playing the guitar, it's a very relaxing moment for me and I prefer stay alone in my bedroom.
Glòria Vallejo Gómez 2nd Batxillerat Humanístic
The Elvis Presley song, has double meaning, you could interpretate that Elvis is not really talking about his shoes. I think that this "lay off of my shoes" is a nice way to say "get out of my life".
ReplyDeleteSometimes I also want to say " get out of my life" or simply "get out of my mind", so there are a lot of people who is always trying to manipulate me and say me how I have to think and what I have to do. I absolutelly don't like this because I'm old enough to have my own way to see the world, and for these reason I'm completely agree with the Rock's king.
I think this song Elvis Presley, uses exemple "not on my blue suede shoes" like hecould be used any otherexample because the meaning isn’t it that. Elvis which means that nobody can change his way of being because he has his style of live and nobody can change it.
ReplyDeleteI think Elvis has absolutely right because if there is someone who will not accept you as you are, it is better that this person was very far from you

I agree with Elvis lyrics but I don't really like the song.
ReplyDeleteI hate when someone disturbs me when I'm listening music with my headphones. It's a very relaxing moment for me and if somebody says something to me, I get very angry!!

In the privious song Elvis said that he hates when someone steps in him shoes because i supose that shoes probably will be very special and if someone step in it , it ' ll be very annoying for he. Furthermore Elvis said that he only wants one thing and it's that person who is annoying he , lay off their shoes.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion all persons have moments when we want that people lays we off. Personaly a moment that i want to be alone is when i'm lisening music because i'm very relaxing and don't want that someone interrumpts me.
Oriol Arechinolaza. 2nd Batxillerat Social
In my opinion, Elvis, with this phrase ('lay off of my shoes'), wants to say that the girl to whom it's addressed this song, have to respect him.
ReplyDeleteThe message of the song is something like that: You can do whatever you want, but always respecting me. The phrase 'lay off my shoes' can be a metaphor to say 'Respect me'.
Toni Arellano - 1r Bat. Ciències.
People tend to share their own thinks with people who are important to them. As Elvis song, sometimes you share what you have or maybe you let someone to do what they want but there are other times when you have something so valuable for you that you are identified with it and you don't want that anyone pertake of it. I'm not sure but I think that what I said before can be an explain about why he said 'you can do what you want but lay off of my shoes'. Everyone need something that he can know that it only partake of him, something that it want to do alone in his own world remote of external factors.

I like the song of Elvis Blue suede shoes because I think that is very interesting, ingenious and has a lot of metamorphic because when he says "lay off of my blue suede shoes" he means that her shoes are him personality and it never can be change.
ReplyDeleteI think like Elvis that you don't have to change your personality.
Marc Paredes-1r Bat.Científic-Tecnològic
Sometimes you just need to be alone to relax and think differently that the way you are doing. In these moments the last think you want is that someone comes and disturbs you, and and you just think about them to lay off of you. Acually when you need the most to be alone is often a moment when people asks you what's wrong and it is then when you say to them to lay off of you.
ReplyDeleteToni Ferrer Segarra, 2n Batxillerat Científic
In my opinion, Elvis Presley says “lay off of my shoes” to tell us that his shoes are a bit of his personality, his confidence on the stage, his tool to move, to dance… for Elvis his shoes are a part of himself that’s why he doesn’t want someone step on them.
ReplyDeleteI don’t want people to step on my clothes, my laptop, my school notes, my diary… things that are really essential for me or for my daily life. In addition I desperately want people to lay off of me when I’m studying, listening to music, talking to a friend by mobile phone, having a shower… those moments in which I need silence, relax and be on my own.
Marta Villarroya_1r Batxillerat
As Elvis presley said in his song I want everybody to "lay off of my shoes", knowing that here he wants to tell the people to go away of his life, because I don't really like when somebody tries to change my personality or te way I am. As Elvis, I don't really like when the people says me how I have to be.

It really annoys me when I'm in my bedroom, lying down in my bed, listening to music and completly relaxed, and then my father comes in and order me something to do at that moment. I would like to be able to say at this situation "Dad, as Elvis said in one of him songs, lay off me, please" but I can't because is my father so I calm down and I do what he has ordered me.

ReplyDeleteI would like people to lay out of my stuff, like my make-up(people who see my makeup allways want´s to try it),using things without my permission and specially those who interfere in my personal life and then start to talk about it to every one.

In my opinion, what Elvis Presley wanted to say in this song is a polite way to say “get out of my life”. There are many people who try to persuade you to do or think about something. So, I completely agree with him because I hate when people try to do that. Sometimes you need your own space to think what is better for you without involving others.

I think that, with this song, Elvis wants us to see that the personality is the essence of people and it shouldn't change. For this reason he says: lay off of my shoes. It is a metaphor where the shoes are his personality.

I think the song meant that sa matter what you take one or the other important thing is i do not judge people according to the way they dress. Other than that I think the song is full of second, of metaphor as to say "lay off of my shoes" as referring to let him be her with what i liked with what satisfy. Apart from anything the song is pretty cool to be years ago, that even if very short.

I have read the Elvi's song lyrics and I am agree with him. I hate when someone try to get into my life wanting to know everything about me. When this happens I feel very uncomfortable and I will get so rude and angry. I have got a way of thinking and I don't accept anyone who wants to try to modify it because he or she feels superior. That's why I don't want anyone who 'step on my blue suede shoes'.

I think that the meaning of song is metaphoric, and maybe he hates that you step his shoes, but with the expression "lay off of my shoes",he express that he needs his time and his space, and he believes all the people are equal, and nobody has de right to step on someone. And I too hate that the others steps my shoes, and more when the shoes are news.

In my opinion, the shoes are a part of your life. Because if you goes with trainers it means that you are a sportive person, and if you go with some ankle boat or corck shoes or another "beautiful" and spending shoes you are more conceited. I usually go with trainers whem I'm doing sport and spadrils or slippers in summer.

I'm agree with the metaphorical part of Elvis' song. What I hate the most is that people mess up in my life, because I can do my life in my way and learn from my mistakes. Other thing that I hate is when people criticize me without know me at all.
ReplyDeleteI don't want people step on my notes of school, my hair, my mobile phone, my new shoes, my bed... I want people lay off of me when i'm talking by mobile phone, when I'm romantic with my boyfriend, when i'm studying history, maths..subjects that are difficult for me and when I'm sleeping.
ReplyDeleteI think that "lay off my shoes" it's metaphoric, he wants to says that if you don't like one think of someone it's your opinion, but your opinion, won't make change his.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I don't like that people tell me what i have to do with my life, it's my life and i'am the only one that i can decide on it. I like people to helps me, but no that decide by my.

In my opinion, Elvis wanted to explain what this song is that he does not like people trying to judge without really knowing how you are. Elvis uses the shoes how a metaphorical form.

I think that there are aspects of the life of every person that are very important for you though the others don't understand it and that you don't like that anybody step on them. I think Elvis is right, to people you love you let them do whatever they want and you wouldn't get angry, but sometimes you need some space to breath or a possession that you consider it untouchable. What Elvis want to say with his song, is relationated with the personality of a person. In this case his shoes represent himself, and if you want to step on it, just lay off his shoes.

In my opinion, the sentence "lay off of my shoes" is a way to say "lay off me". Elvis want to say, to the person who is destinated this song, that he/she have to respect his own space; as he says in his song "do anything that you want to do" but always with his own space.
ReplyDeleteI'm a person that I need my space because I get tired very quikly and it's annoying for me, for this, I hate people who is constantly controls me.

I think that this song is very true because Elvis express their feelings around the world. I also believe that he is very brave to do that. In my opinion, Elvis express that he doesn't like people who enter in his life. I share the same opinion with him because my life is mine and I also hate the people who enter in it, so I say, like Elvis: lay off of my blue suede shoes.

This song hasn’t a literal meaning. We can understand the “blue suede shoes” as Elvis asks people to let him doing his own way. He identifies them with freedom and he dances with them trying that nobody gets closer to them.
ReplyDeleteHe thinks –like me- that the material things aren’t important but I need that all of my friends respect my opinions and I must do the same with them. This is beginning of our own freedom.

When I have heard this song and I have done several times, it has transmitted to me the absolute necessity to be respected in my living space. I think that the blue suede shoes are part of Elvis because they let him to dance freely. They are very important for him because they are his journey friends. I thing that when Elvis says ''lay off my shoes'' he wants to say, in a metaphorical way, ''leave me''. I mean, he is probably the type of person that needs his space. Everybody needs time and space for himself/herself, and it's really annoying when somebody disturbs you in this time or doesn't respect your space.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, Elvis has found the sentence, which express all this in a direct and respectful way.
