Guy Fawkes was a English Catholic conspirator. He served in the Spanish Army of the Netherlands and belonged to a group of English Catholic restoration, which planned the Gunpowder Plot in order to destroy the Parliament with explosives placed in the foundations of the building and assassinate King James I of England , their families and the rest of the House of Lords. He was the key: it had to detonate the explosives. He was finally arrested on November 5, 1605 and stated that his intentions were to end religious persecution.

  16. Guy Fawkes was a spanish soldier who was used by Rome to get rid of James I (who declared himself protestant, against what Rome wanted to the throne of England).

Guy Fawkes filled the foundations of the Parlament with lots of gunpowder barrels, and was stopped and captured before he was able to make them explode and kill James and the rest of the england government.

Fawkes was publically executed with one of the other conspirators named Henry Garnet, but they were not the only conspirators of what has been called the "Gunpowder Plot".

He was one of many mans that died for political things in history. His death reason was that he wanted the return of the Catholical religion.

To put it in practice, he tried to overtrhow the parliament with explosives. He tried but he couldn't do it. He was discovered and arrested.

Finally, at trial he was condemned guilty. The day 5th of November of 1606 he was executed in public.

The protagonist "V" explain the story of Guy Fawkes at the start of the movie, he uses a mask of the Guy Fawkes and he has the similar plans, destroy the United Kingdom Parliament.

Guy Fawkes was a spanish professional mercenary soldier. He and a group of plotters attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London with barrels of gunpowder placed in the basement. They wanted to kill James I. Soldiers discovered Guy hidden and arrested him. The trail of gunpowder would never be lit.

I think all people that were in the Houses of Parliament were very lucky that the soldiers found Guy Fawkes and their lives were saved.
